Our Team

Discovering fairly early on that a career as a musician or professional footballer was something best enjoyed at home, the multi-talented Vince sensibly enrolled at Massey University to be a vet. He spent the early years of his career famliarising himself with New Zealand geography and working in Gore, Whakatane and Christchurch. A visit back to homeland Germany saw an extended stay in Europe and placements in British clinics where he was incessantly mocked for his pronounciation of the word 'pen'. Back on home turf in New Zealand, he conceived of a business where better quality consumables could be acquired for better value, and Kahuvet quickly shifted from garage hobby to full-time business venture. Responsible for Kahuvet's product sourcing and development, Vince is also the main contact for all South Island clients.

Raised in the sun-drenched valleys of North Otago, Matt's apprenticeship was served under the tutelage of North Canterbury Vets for three years. During this time he made friends with Strep Uberis, the soft bung on a metrichecking rod, and achieved proficiency in the art of plastic surgery on the pig dog. Following this were four fun-filled years in the UK and Australia, learning about British ales, gelato, and blue bottle jellyfish. In 2010 the opportunity to become a partner in Kahu Veterinary Equipment arose and the challenge of establishing a business proved too hard to resist. Matt always looks forward to getting to know clients, sipping lattes and sampling pies throughout the country, along with his one-eyed whippet, Rusty.
